I have just 50 years served in hospitality and fail to see how anyone can gain the required background and experience from a 2 year degree with 48 hours of internship.
This seems to me like making the degree fit the cost and government agenda model rather than giving students a real preparation for a career.
Would you have your gaul bladder removed by a graduate with 48 hours internship? Why then should we believe a hospitality business could be run with a minimum of preparation - is it no wonder hospitality is not seen by the young as a career?
It would take a mountain of evidence to convince me that I should employ someone so poorly prepared.
